Yoga is more than just being bendy.
The root word of yoga means to unite, or union. Yoga helps unite the movement & breath, the mind & body, the monkey mind & the human, the human & the spirit, the individual & collective the atma & para… the list goes on!
My approach to yoga is conscious. It is full of spirit. It is light. Yes, yoga is a serious and often profound practice… but that does not mean it is dull! It does not mean progress needs to be measured by quantity or “attaining” an asana.
I believe the body holds the secrets of healing, but we often need support relearning the language our body speaks.
It is my intention to help you cultivate greater self-awareness through understanding what the physical body is signalling. Finding release, relaxation and freedom from those tensions or stiffness we might encounter, and will help make space for new ranges of movement and create space for growth.
From pranayama (breath work), asana (postures), surya namaskar (sun salutation)… to bhakti yoga (devotional unconditional love), philosophy & sattvic yogi lifestyle.
I believe in making the practice about the individual, in their present state, in the body they are in, for their constitution (prakruit and vikruti on that day). Listening to and treating every person with equity in order to reach balance and equality.
